What to Expect

Are you parenting an anxious kid? Would you like to receive SPACE Treatment in a supportive group setting - connecting with fellow parents who can relate to your joys and challenges, and provide each other with mutual support as you work to decrease your child’s anxiety and build their resilience?

Join us in Roslindale this spring for an 8-week group for parents of anxious kids, rooted in the SPACE Treatment Model.

  • 8 Mondays, 12 - 1:15 pm, beginning 2/23 and ending 4/13

  • First and last sessions are in person (in Roslindale Village) to foster connection and community-building. Sessions 2-7 are virtual for ease of access!

  • Investment of $800 includes the 8 group sessions and all materials. Superbills are available for families with out of network benefits who would like to seek insurance reimbursement.

What is SPACE? This 8- week group is designed for parents of children (ages 5–15) struggling with anxiety or OCD-related challenges. Based on the evidence-based SPACE program (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions), developed at the Yale Child Study Center by Dr. Eli Lebowitz, this group empowers parents to support their child’s anxiety in healthier, more effective ways. Through weekly 75-minute sessions, parents will learn how to shift away from “accommodating” behaviors—like excessive reassurance or avoidance—that can unintentionally reinforce anxiety. Instead, you'll discover how to encourage your child to face fears with confidence. By reducing an ‘accommodating’ approach to a child’s anxiety, parents are able to engage in a manner that ultimately enhances the child’s ability to cope with anxious thoughts and feelings.

What can parents expect from this SPACE group? Through group, you will:

  • Gain confidence in parenting your anxious child

  • Develop the tools to to respond supportively without reinforcing anxiety

  • Learn how to more effectively address your child’s anxiety

  • Begin reducing your own accommodating behaviors that may be contributing to your child's anxious patterns

What if I would rather do SPACE treatment individually? That’s also an option, and currently Erin has telehealth openings for this work on Wednesdays. Please complete the contact form on this site to indicate your interest and discuss next steps!

How It Works

  • Ready to take the next step for group? You can fill out the Spring 2026 Group Interest Form online.

  • After you fill out the interest form, Erin will reach out within 2 business days to schedule a time for a free intake call. This call is a chance to share more about your family, get your questions answered, and make sure the group feels like a good fit on both sides.

  • After your intake call, Erin will send you a brief group agreement form for review. The form makes sure we’re all on the same page around the group day/time/format, attendance, etc. Once you’ve reviewed the form, you’ll be sent a link to make your $800 payment for the group.

  • That’s it! You’re ready for group, which begins on Monday, 2/23 with an in-person kickoff session. You’ll be sent the exact location of the first group as the date approaches. Erin is available via email in the meantime with any questions you may have.
